So, Brian and I started house hunting shortly after we got engaged. Ambitiously, we thought to combine two of the most stressful things in life into a 6-month period. Actually, we’re doing well on both of them. Due to a simple wedding and lots of help with wedding stuff, that’s going well. And, with the buyers’ market right now, we found a great house we can afford. (more…)

Reading my blog, you’ll notice that most of the thoughts and events I write about are minor things. Video tapes, random bruises, etc. I enjoy writing about things like that. However, because it’s my strong tendency to use this blog almost exclusively in that manner, it makes it difficult for me to share big, important events here. When I try, it comes out very short and blunt.

to begin at the beginning of this story, let’s travel back in time to december 2007. lissie and i were putting up christmas decorations, and the tv antenna was in the way so we moved it. well, the reception was never the same after that, but most of the time we were able to tape shows on my little tv/vcr and watch them in the living room. this arrangement worked pretty well for us.
then, new year’s 2009 came around, and we realized people (including us) would probably want to be able to watch the ball dropping. brian came over early to install the digital to analog converter and get the best possible reception. since all the plugs were taken, he unplugged the vcr so he could plug in the converter. we got better reception than ever, and all was well in the world.

3 times in the past 12 months I’ve realized/been notified that my teeth may not be dazzling white. So, I went to the dentist and had impressions made of my teeth. When I went to pick up the bleach trays, they gave me the molds, too, so now I have molds of my teeth. (more…)
